Ribbons and Awards

Rosette Ribbons

First, second & third in each class,
Teenage, Novice, Open, and in each Hobby division.

Best of Show Award

Ribbon will be awarded to one of the 1st place winners.

Future Promise Award

Ribbon and Prize to be awarded.

People’s Choice Award

Individual artwork will be critiqued by attendees, and the winning artist will receive the People’s Choice Award.

Judging
The Judging Panel will include representatives from the arts and education fields and will be chaired by the Buckhorn Art Competition Committee. Entries are evaluated against a set of criteria that has been established for the class in which they are entered. Judging will be done in private prior to the opening of the Festival.

Announcement of Winners
Winners will be notified by telephone. Winners agree that their names will be printed in a Buckhorn Community Centre newsletter prior to the 2009 Art Festival and on the website.
