ART COMPETITION

The Buckhorn Art Competition & Youth Art Display, in collaboration with the Buckhorn Fine Art Festival, invites entries from people who reside or vacation in Ontario.

The Youth Art Display features art of 8-12 year olds from public schools in the area. The display is non-competitive. Enjoy the display of future artists from the area.

The objectives of the Buckhorn Art Competition are:

  • to encourage and develop the creativity of visual art talent in teens (age 13 - 19), adults and seniors;
  • to recognize and support further the development of artistic talent;
  • to provide artists with an opportunity to learn from the experience of being judged by a team of art professionals;
  • to showcase individual creative style, design and techniques.

The objective of the Youth Art Display is to provide a stage for children and youth (age 8 - 12) to share their two- and three-dimensional works of art with a larger audience without competition.

Experience Art Activities
Throughout the Festival there will be activities for children and adults to participate in. Join us and explore your own creativity.

Sale of Work
This is an opportunity for you to have your art purchased and appreciated in the home of someone who visits the Festival. The artist will be notified of the sale by telephone. The Festival will issue a cheque to the artist (80% profit, less applicable taxes). The Buckhorn Fine Art Festival appreciates your 20% commission from all sales.
